About the Treatment
Lymph drainage post surgical scars A perfect combination manual lymphatic drainage and Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is an effective treatment for post-surgical scars, as well as other scars.The laser's light energises cells in the affected tissue, releases growth factors, stimulates blood flow, and increases collagen production which promotes healing and can help reduce scarring. The procedure is painless, non-invasive, and generally safe for most people. However, it should not be used immediately by those who have recently undergone surgery. Treatment of post-surgical scars should not begin earlier than 7–10 days after removal of sutures to prevent bleeding. The procedure typically involves the application of a low-power laser to the scarred tissue for one session each day (a total of 10-12 sessions) with a repeated course after 3-4 weeks.
